Trainings

General Cultural Awareness Programs

These programs are suitable for managers and team members alike who work in a culturally diverse environment or who want to better understand what triggers culturally diverse behaviour to improve their intercultural competence.

To work more effectively together we need to be aware of how our cultural upbringing impacts our beliefs, behaviours, perceptions and judgments and how it affects our perception of the unfamiliar. We have to ask ourselves how sensitive we are towards the backgrounds, needs and behaviour of people from other cultures. How mindful do we communicate with them and are we able to establish satisfying relationships to bridge the cultural differences?

Intercultural Communication

For a successful and efficient cross-cultural communication we need to understand our own communication style as well as the communication style other cultures have. We need to be aware how communication is perceived and what we can do to avoid misunderstandings. We need to learn how to apply proper strategies without the feeling we are losing our authenticity.

To be able to communicate and act with sensitivity towards our counterparts, in order to succeed in having sustainable and effective (cross-cultural) conversations, needs to be a basic skill set for anyone working in today’s global world.

Country-specific Training

Country specific trainings are available for: Singapore, Germany, Japan, UK and the USA. They prepare participants for working in these countries or with colleagues from the above mentioned countries.

Leading / Working in Cross-Cultural Teams

The following questions usually present themselves during my leading and working in cross-cultural teams trainings and will be addressed accordingly:

  • How to lead and work in culturally diverse teams with different expectations?
  • How to build trust working with people with a different cultural background?
  • How to communicate efficiently?
  • What does the decision-making process look like in different cultures?
  • What to expect from a leadership role?

To tackle these questions this workshop is designed to support mastering the challenges of intercultural teams, managing different expectations, and finding solutions/best-practises to leverage on the strengths and advantages of a diverse team.

Leading / Working in Remote Teams

The following questions usually present themselves during my leading and working in remote teams trainings and will be addressed accordingly:

  • What does it mean to lead and work in remote teams?
  • How do we build trust and create a feeling of togetherness?
  • How do we communicate and how do we keep us and the team motivated?

These and other questions will be dealt with in this workshop.
